Portal of Final Theses (PZP)
Portal for storing theses for granting credits from bachelor’s
and diploma seminars

To obtain credits for diploma and bachelor seminars related to final theses of Bachelor and Master degrees, starting with the academic year 2011/2012, students are required to save continuous outputs in the Portal of Final Theses.
Credits will be granted only after the acceptance/approval of the submitted files by the thesis supervisor in the Portal of Final Theses.

Setting of the rights in the system:

  • the thesis supervisor can see the work of his students,
  • the heads of departments see the works registered at their department according to the affiliation of the thesis supervisors.

General information on subjects related to Bachelor theses:


Bachelor's degree students have topics of the Bachelor thesis listed and assigned in the second year of study. They work on the topic during two semesters in the third year of study.

Compulsory subject Bachelor seminar I ends in the winter semester of the 3rd year of study by credit and final exam (4 credits). To get credits for the final evaluation - the exam, students submit a file to the Portal of Final Theses - Bachelor Thesis Project.
The Bachelor thesis project contains an introduction to the theoretical part (overview of relevant literature on the topic of the bachelor's thesis) and a proposal for the methodology of the bachelor's thesis. The project must have 10 pages (own text) and must be submitted in the template for final theses. The evaluation of the bachelor's thesis project is given by the thesis supervisor until the end of the exam period according to the prepared evaluation form.

Compulsory subject Bachelor seminar II ends in the shortened summer semester of the 3rd year of study with a credit exam (3 credits).
To gain credits from Bachelor Seminar II credit exam, students upload a file (document) in the Portal of Final Theses: a processed theoretical part, a detailed proposal and verification of methods for solving the Bachelor thesis topic - at least 20 pages - no later than the end of the shortened summer semester of the 3rd year of study.

Students submit the complete Bachelor thesis to the TUKE University Library within the set deadline: https://portal.lib.tuke.sk/#/login

 

Master’s degree:


In the current winter semester, students upload into the Portal of Final Theses: - a file for granting credits from the Diploma Seminar II processed theoretical part, detailed proposal, and verification of methods for solving the Diploma thesis topic - at least 30 pages – until the end of the exam period.

General information on subjects related to Diploma theses:

Master’s degree students have topics of Diploma thesis listed and assigned at the end of the 1st semester of the 1st year of study. They work on the topic during three semesters.

Full-time form of study:

To gain credits for Diploma Seminars I, II and III, students gradually upload the following documents in the Portal of Final Theses:
  • Diploma seminar I: (2nd semester of study (SS), 3 credits): research and study of literature; elaboration of goals, hypotheses, and basic methods of solving a research problem - at least 10 pages - until the end of the exam period of the 2nd semester.
  • Diploma seminar II: (3rd semester of study (WS), 4 credits): elaborated theoretical part, detailed proposal, and verification of methods for solving the topic of the Diploma thesis - at least 30 pages – until the end of the exam period of the 3rd semester.
  • Diploma seminar III: (4th semester of study (SS), 4 credits): working version of the Diploma thesis for the thesis supervisor’s approval


External form of study:

To gain credits for Diploma Seminars I, II and III, students gradually deposit the following documents in the Portal of Final Theses:
  • Diploma seminar I: (4th semester of study (SS), 3 credits): research and study of literature; elaboration of goals, hypotheses, and basic methods of solving a research problem - at least 10 pages - until the end of the exam period of the 2nd semester.
  • Diploma seminar II: (5th semester of study (WS), 4 credits): elaborated theoretical part, detailed proposal, and verification of methods for solving the topic of the Diploma thesis - at least 30 pages - until the end of the exam period of the 3rd semester.
  • Diploma seminar III: (6th semester of study (SS), 4 credits): working version of the Diploma Thesis for the thesis supervisor’s approval.
